Background:
New Hampshire, the “Live Free or Die” state, holds up its motto pretty well. It’s a swing state where the voters are known for valuing limited government and individual freedoms. In fact, there are many citizen-led state groups that keep an eye on the government and its spending.
Issues:
Education Funding: The state Supreme Court has ordered the legislature to define the state Constitution's mandate that government provide an "adequate education." Some are suggesting a constitutional amendment to stop the courts from jerking around the legislature and education funding.

Taxes and Spending: New Hampshire is the most tax-friendly state in the country, and that’s no coincidence. There are more than a dozen citizen groups across the state working to keep spending under control.
