Volunteer with Sam
Because, in the struggle for smaller, more accountable government, we are so outnumbered by union workers, patronage workers, and other people on government payrolls, the only way we will be able to leverage ourselves is to recruit, train, work with, and manage volunteers.
The following is a list of possible volunteer opportunities at the Sam Adams Alliance. The sky's the limit, based on volunteers’ skill sets and availability. Let’s be creative and welcoming in helping to build a nationwide network of concerned citizen-activists.
- Attorneys for legal advice – for Sam and our allies
- Accountant/Bookkeeper – to analyze government budgets
- Feature story writers - to interview and profile "Modern-Day Sam Adamses"
- Bloggers - for Tea Party and other blogs
- FOIA managers and requesters– to obtain and analyze open records
- Networkers – to assist in recruiting and prospecting
- Speakers – people who will speak about Sam at events
- Activists – the possibilities are numerous depending on your location and availability
- Video Producers - to produce short, viral Internet video pieces to spread the word.
